Tumoroids, also known as cancer organoids, are patient-derived cancer cells grown as 3D, self-organized multicellular structures. Their biological relevance makes them highly predictive tools for drug and diagnostic development compared to 2D models. However, deriving and expanding tumoroids requires specialized cell biology expertise and a significant amount of time and effort.
