Gentest® Supersomes®

Analyze ADME drug properties with the industry
gold standard Cytochrome P450 (CYP) recombinant enzymes

Gentest® Supersomes® are the gold standard for ADME studies, containing the highest quality recombinant Cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes.

These enzymes are prepared from baculovirus-transfected insect cells with very high levels of catalytic activities
(typically 6-fold higher than an average human liver microsome sample).

Supersomes are ideal for study of high throughput drug interactions, slowly metabolized chemicals, or large-scale production of metabolites for structural identification.

Table 1. Enzyme kinetics between Gentest Supersomes enzymes and liver microsomes (HLM) show excellent consistency.

“Generating CYP450 inhibition and metabolism datasets to feed ML models presented a significant challenge: how to generate consistent data at the scale of tens of thousands of molecules at low microliter reaction volumes. Discovery’s Gentest Supersomes gave us a solid and reliable foundation on which to build our assays, freeing us to focus on the challenges of high-throughput chemical screening. Sourcing from single lots with consistent enzyme activity means less variability in our datasets, and cleaner data for the modelers downstream.”
